About

A small kitchen with a long memory.

Our story

Built one small batch at a time.

Fin's Fads started in a home kitchen in Indiana with three things: a sourdough starter named Otis, a soda recipe from a great-aunt, and the stubborn idea that the food at most events deserved better than it was getting.

Fin's Fads is a two-person café and catering operation built on small-batch craftsmanship. We bake every loaf in-house. We press every soda by hand. We roast our own beans, weekly, and we don't serve a drink we wouldn't drink ourselves.

Our cart — a remodeled vintage horse trailer named the Crescent — rolls up to weddings, brunches, and backyard parties around southern Indiana. The food gets compliments. The trailer gets photographed.

We named the company after Fin, the family dog who used to sit by the bakery door, and the fads we kept pulling out of old cookbooks. Original-style Twinkies. Hand-pressed lemonade. Lattes that taste like lattes.

What we believe

01

Real ingredients, every time

Organic where it matters, local where we can, never the powdered shortcut. If the label needs a chemistry degree, we don't use it.

02

Slow is the point

A 36-hour ferment is not a flaw — it's the whole flavor. We don't rush a loaf, a soda, or a cup of coffee.

03

Theatre belongs at the table

Food should be a little bit fun. Our cart shows up, the music plays, the drinks come in glass bottles. It matters.
